Portuguese Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Portuguese language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Portuguese course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. Northumberland Portuguese Course Schedules

The Portuguese language courses in Northumberland that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Portuguese courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Portuguese language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Portuguese language course we will assess your level of Portuguese and speak to you about your aims so that your Portuguese language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Portuguese before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Portuguese when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Portuguese in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Portuguese language trainers will tailor your Portuguese course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Portuguese Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Portuguese examinations. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Northumberland is the northernmost ceremonial county and a unitary district in the North East of England.
