Polish Course Management

When you start your Polish course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

The Polish language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Polish language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Polish lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Polish lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Polish language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Oxfordshire Polish Course Schedules

We run Polish language courses in Oxfordshire all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Polish weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Polish language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Polish language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Polish language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Polish conversational skills or have more proficiency in Polish and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Polish for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Polish language trainers will work with you on a Polish language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Polish Language Examination Courses

Polish examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Polish describes a Lechitic subgroup of West Slavic languages in Central Europe and the official language of Poland. Its written standard is the Polish alphabet which corresponds to the Latin alphabet with several additions. Polish-speakers use the language in a uniform manner throughout most of Poland. Despite the pressure of non-Polish administrations in Poland, who have often attempted to suppress the Polish language, a rich literature has developed over the centuries and the language is currently the largest in terms of speakers of the West Slavic group. It is also the third most widely spoken Slavic language, after Russian and Ukrainian.

Oxfordshire is a county in the South East region of England, bordering on Warwickshire, Northamptonshire (to the north/northeast), Buckinghamshire (to the east), Berkshire (to the south), Wiltshire and Swindon (to the southwest), Gloucestershire (to the west) and Warwickshire (to the north).
