With a global network of language trainers a Polish language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Polish language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Leeds Polish Course Schedules

Our Polish language courses in Leeds go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Polish can be arranged on request. Our Polish courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Polish courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Polish language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Polish language course we will assess your goals and level of Polish experience. Your desire to learn Polish may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Polish to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Polish in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. Polish Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Polish examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Polish teachers in Leeds who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Polish examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Polish describes a Lechitic subgroup of West Slavic languages in Central Europe and the official language of Poland. Its written standard is the Polish alphabet which corresponds to the Latin alphabet with several additions. Polish-speakers use the language in a uniform manner throughout most of Poland. Despite the pressure of non-Polish administrations in Poland, who have often attempted to suppress the Polish language, a rich literature has developed over the centuries and the language is currently the largest in terms of speakers of the West Slavic group. It is also the third most widely spoken Slavic language, after Russian and Ukrainian.

Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. In 2001 Leeds' main urban subdivision had a population of 443,247, while the entire city had a population of 770,800 (2008 est.). Leeds is the cultural, financial and commercial heart of the West Yorkshire Urban Area, which at the 2001 census had a population of 1.5 million, and the Leeds city region, an economic area with Leeds at its core, had a population of 2.9 million. Leeds is the UK's largest centre for business, legal, and financial services outside London. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Leeds can trace its recorded history to fifth century when the Kingdom of Elmet was covered by the forest of "Loidis", the origin of the name Leeds. The name has been applied to many administrative entities over the centuries. It changed from being the appellation of a small manorial borough, in the 13th century, through several incarnations, to being the name attached to the present metropolitan borough.
