Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Polish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Polish teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements. We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Polish tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Polish tutor prior to their Polish lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Polish lesson in Derbyshire almost entirely in Polish - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Polish in a variety of social and business situations.

The Polish courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Polish training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Polish courses at Derbyshire are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Polish Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Polish language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Polish course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

The Polish language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Polish language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Polish lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Polish lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Polish language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Derbyshire Polish Course Schedules

We run our Polish language courses in Derbyshire all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Polish courses on request. Our Polish programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Polish language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Polish course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Polish and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Polish skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Polish and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Polish for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Polish language trainers will tailor your Polish course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Polish Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Polish examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Polish teachers in Derbyshire whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Polish examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Polish describes a Lechitic subgroup of West Slavic languages in Central Europe and the official language of Poland. Its written standard is the Polish alphabet which corresponds to the Latin alphabet with several additions. Polish-speakers use the language in a uniform manner throughout most of Poland. Despite the pressure of non-Polish administrations in Poland, who have often attempted to suppress the Polish language, a rich literature has developed over the centuries and the language is currently the largest in terms of speakers of the West Slavic group. It is also the third most widely spoken Slavic language, after Russian and Ukrainian.

Derbyshire is a county in the East Midlands of England. A substantial portion of the Peak District National Park lies within Derbyshire. The northern part of Derbyshire overlaps with the Pennines, a famous chain of hills and mountains. The county contains within its boundary of approx. 225 miles, part of the National Forest, and borders on Greater Manchester to the North West, West Yorkshire to the North, South Yorkshire to the North East, Nottinghamshire to the East, Leicestershire to the South East, Staffordshire to the West and South West and Cheshire also to the West. In 2003 the Ordnance Survey placed Church Flatts farm, approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) north, at Coton in the Elms, Derbyshire, as the furthest point from the sea in Great Britain. The city of Derby is now a unitary authority area, but remains part of the ceremonial county of Derbyshire. The non-metropolitan county contains 30 towns with between 10,000 and 100,000 inhabitants. There is a large amount of sparsely populated agricultural upland: 75% of the population live in 25% of the area.
