Polish Courses for Business in CumbriaPlease click a title below for further information: Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Polish Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Polish speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience.
Our Polish teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Polish teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Polish lessons start.
If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your Polish teacher in Cumbria will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Polish. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Polish. The Polish courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Polish training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Polish courses at Cumbria are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Polish Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Polish language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual.
At the start of your Polish language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources. SIMON & SIMON has arranged Polish language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Polish language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond.
The vast majority of our Polish lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Polish lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient.
We can also arrange full-time residential Polish language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations. Cumbria Polish Course SchedulesThe Polish language courses in Cumbria that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more.
We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Polish courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive Polish language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday. Before you start your Polish language course we will assess your level of Polish and speak to you about your aims so that your Polish language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Polish before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Polish when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Polish in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Polish language trainers will tailor your Polish course so that your goals can be quickly met. Polish Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any Polish examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Polish teachers in Cumbria.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for Polish examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Polish Courses Cumbria Polish describes a Lechitic subgroup of West Slavic languages in Central Europe and the official language of Poland. Its written standard is the Polish alphabet which corresponds to the Latin alphabet with several additions. Polish-speakers use the language in a uniform manner throughout most of Poland. Despite the pressure of non-Polish administrations in Poland, who have often attempted to suppress the Polish language, a rich literature has developed over the centuries and the language is currently the largest in terms of speakers of the West Slavic group. It is also the third most widely spoken Slavic language, after Russian and Ukrainian. Cumbria is a non-metropolitan county in North West England, United Kingdom. Cumbria, and a new local authority called Cumbria County Council, came into existence as a county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972. The county consists of six districts, and in 2008 had a total population of just under half a million. Cumbria as a whole is one of the most sparsely populated counties in the UK with 73.4 people per km2 (190/sq mi). Despite this, the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness has a population density over twelves times this at 921/km2 (2,385.3/sq mi).
Cumbria, the third largest ceremonial county in England by area, is bounded to the north by the Scottish council area of Dumfries and Galloway, to the west by the Irish Sea, to the south by Lancashire, to the southeast by North Yorkshire, and to the east by County Durham and Northumberland.
A predominantly rural county, Cumbria contains the Lake District and associated Lake District National Park, considered one of the most beautiful areas of England. The area has provided inspiration for generations of British and foreign artists, writers and musicians. Much of the county is mountainous, and it contains every peak in England over 900 metres (3,000 ft) above sea level, with Scafell Pike at 978 metres (3,209 ft) being the highest point in England. Long existing as an upland, coastal and rural area, Cumbria's heritage is characterised by a broad number of invasions, migration and settlement.
