Cambridgeshire Polish Course SchedulesOur Polish language courses in Cambridgeshire run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Polish teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Polish language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Polish language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Polish Courses Cambridgeshire Polish describes a Lechitic subgroup of West Slavic languages in Central Europe and the official language of Poland. Its written standard is the Polish alphabet which corresponds to the Latin alphabet with several additions. Polish-speakers use the language in a uniform manner throughout most of Poland. Despite the pressure of non-Polish administrations in Poland, who have often attempted to suppress the Polish language, a rich literature has developed over the centuries and the language is currently the largest in terms of speakers of the West Slavic group. It is also the third most widely spoken Slavic language, after Russian and Ukrainian. Cambridgeshire is a former United Kingdom Parliamentary constituency. It was a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of England then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. It was represented by two Knights of the Shire until 1832, when the number of members was increased to three. It was divided between the constituencies of Chesterton, Newmarket and Wisbech in 1885.
The parliamentary county was again reconstituted in 1918. In 1983, when the redistribution of seats took place on the basis of the expanded post-1974 Cambridgeshire, the constituency was divided between the new constituencies of North East Cambridgeshire (including a small part of Peterborough), South East Cambridgeshire and South West Cambridgeshire (including a minority of territory from the former Huntingdonshire).
