Make Progress from Day One

Our teachers have an average of 15 years’ experience teaching professional and private individuals and they constantly receive excellent feedback from our clients. Before your course starts, we will send you a profile on your French teacher with information about their background and experience.

At SIMON & SIMON, we tailor our courses to the client’s needs. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced speaker, we will create a bespoke course around your needs and goals. We use a revolutionary approach called the Direct Method. Using this approach, we will conduct almost the entire lesson in French so that you are immersed in the language from the start. We have found that by doing this our clients start making progress from Day 1.

In depth: Our French Courses for Business in Leeds

1:1 and Group French Courses in Leeds

Our French Courses will be tailored around specific goals and the requirements of the candidates. At SIMON & SIMON, we offer both group and 1:1 sessions. If you opt for a 1:1 session you will find that you will make progress much faster as the course will be completely designed around your strengths and weaknesses. However, the group sessions offer better value for money and the group can help each other outside of the taught session times, but we do recommend no more than 6 in a group.

French Course Management

For every language course, we assign a multi-lingual account manager who will be responsible for the running of the course. Your personal account manager will work with you to organise your language course and will assign a teacher to you. At the start of the course you will receive a profile on your teacher, a course plan and course materials including valuable links to learning recourses. Once the course has started your account manager will send you a progress report after every 40 hours.

About Leeds

Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. In 2001 Leeds’ main urban subdivision had a population of 443,247, while the entire city had a population of 770,800 (2008 est.).

Leeds is the cultural, financial and commercial heart of the West Yorkshire Urban Area, which at the 2001 census had a population of 1.5 million, and the Leeds city region, an economic area with Leeds at its core, had a population of 2.9 million.

Leeds is the UK’s largest centre for business, legal, and financial services outside London. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Leeds can trace its recorded history to fifth century when the Kingdom of Elmet was covered by the forest of “Loidis”, the origin of the name Leeds. The name has been applied to many administrative entities over the centuries. It changed from being the appellation of a small manorial borough, in the 13th century, through several incarnations, to being the name attached to the present metropolitan borough.

In the 17th and 18th centuries Leeds became a major centre for the production and trading of wool. Then, during the Industrial Revolution, Leeds developed into a major industrial centre; wool was still the dominant industry but flax, engineering, iron foundries, printing and other industries were important.

From being a compact market town in the valley of the River Aire in the 16th century Leeds expanded and absorbed the surrounding villages to become a populous urban centre by the mid-20th century.
