French Courses for Business in Bristol

SIMON & SIMON have conducted French courses for businesses and private individuals all over the UK, including Bristol. We have highly experienced trainers who are native speakers and qualified teachers. Our teachers have an average of 15 years experience teaching their language and will create a course based on each student’s previous knowledge.

The Communicative Approach

At SIMON & SIMON, we use a teaching approach called The Communicative Approach. This method is designed to completely immerse you in the language by conducting almost the whole lesson in French. We have found that people on our course have made progress quickly using this approach. Soon after starting your course you will be confident in your abilities to communicate in various business and social situations.

Our French Language Courses in Bristol

1:1 and Group French Courses in Bristol

Our French course can be conducted as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis, depending on what suits your business needs. We have found that working 1:1 with the trainer you make progress much quicker as the course will be designed around your particular skills. Group sessions can also be beneficial as the participants can help each other outside of the session times. Groups should be no larger than 6 so our teachers can give you the individual support you may need.

French Course Management

Once you have contacted us we will assign you a multi-lingual, highly experienced Account Manager who will oversee your course. Before your course starts your Account Manager will send you a profile of your French teacher, along with course materials, a course plan and valuable web links to free online language training resources. During the course, your Account Manager will send you a progress report after every 40 hours of training.

SIMON & SIMON have a global network of language trainers in almost every major city in Europe. We can arrange for a French teacher to come to your home or place of work depending on what will suit you best. Many of our clients prefer to run their sessions in their office to minimise travel and time off work. We also run residential courses in various locations. Contact our office for more information.

About Bristol

Bristol is a city, unitary authority area and ceremonial county in South West England, with an estimated population of 433,100 for the unitary authority in 2009, and a surrounding Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) with an estimated 1,006,600 residents. It is England’s sixth, and the United Kingdom’s eighth most populous city, one of the group of English Core Cities and the most populous city in South West England.

Bristol received a Royal Charter in 1155 and was granted County status in 1373. From the 13th century, for half a millennium, it ranked amongst the top three English cities after London, alongside York and Norwich, on the basis of tax receipts, until the rapid rise of Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester during the Industrial Revolution in the latter part of the 18th century.

It borders the counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire, and is also located near the historic cities of Bath to the south east and Gloucester to the north. The city is built around the River Avon, and it also has a short coastline on the Severn Estuary, which flows into the Bristol Channel.

Bristol is the largest centre of culture, employment and education in the region. Its prosperity has been linked with the sea since its earliest days. The commercial Port of Bristol was originally in the city centre before being moved to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth; Royal Portbury Dock is on the western edge of the city boundary.
