Japanese Courses for Business in CardiffPlease click a title below for further information: Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Japanese courses, taught by a team of qualified native Japanese speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience.
The feedback on our Japanese tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Japanese course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Japanese teacher’s experience and background. The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile.
The Communicative Approach means that your Japanese lessons in Cardiff will be almost entirely through the medium of Japanese. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Japanese with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. Our Japanese language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Japanese training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Japanese in at Cardiff on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Japanese Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s Japanese languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.
When you start your Japanese course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON Japanese language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Japanese language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond.
Most of our Japanese courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Japanese training sessions for you in your home.
Full-time Japanese courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer. Cardiff Japanese Course SchedulesOur Japanese language courses in Cardiff run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments.
Our Japanese teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request.
Our intensive Japanese language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad. The content of your Japanese language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Japanese language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on.
You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Japanese survival language skills, or a more proficient Japanese speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration.
You may want to focus on improving your Japanese for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills.
Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Japanese language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Japanese language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives. Japanese Language Examination CoursesWe can also help prepare you for Japanese examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Japanese teachers in Cardiff with above average experience.
As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Japanese examinations and the issuing of result certificates. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Japanese Courses Cardiff Japanese is a language spoken by over 130 million people in Japan and in Japanese emigrant communities. Dozens of dialects are spoken in Japan. The profusion is due to many factors, including the length of time the archipelago has been inhabited, its mountainous island terrain, and Japan's long history of both external and internal isolation. The main distinction in Japanese accents is between Tokyo-type and Kyoto-Osaka-type, though Kyūshū-type dialects form a third, smaller group. Within each type are several subdivisions. Kyoto-Osaka-type dialects are in the central region, with borders roughly formed by Toyama, Kyōto, Hyōgo, and Mie Prefectures; most Shikoku dialects are also that type. The final category of dialects are those that are descended from the Eastern dialect of Old Japanese; these dialects are spoken in Hachijō-jima island and a few others. Cardiff is the capital, largest city and most populous county of Wales. The city is Wales' chief commercial centre, the base for most national cultural and sporting institutions, the Welsh national media, and the seat of the National Assembly for Wales. According to recent estimates, the population of the unitary authority area is 324,800, while the wider metropolitan area has a population of nearly 1.1 million, more than a third of the total Welsh population. Cardiff is a significant tourism centre and the most popular visitor destination in Wales with 14.6 million visitors in 2009.
The city of Cardiff is the county town of the historic county of Glamorgan (and later South Glamorgan). Cardiff is part of the Eurocities network of the largest European cities. The Cardiff Urban Area covers a slightly larger area outside of the county boundary, and includes the towns of Dinas Powys, Penarth and Radyr. A small town until the early 19th century, its prominence as a major port for the transport of coal following the arrival of industry in the region contributed to its rise as a major city.
Cardiff was made a city in 1905, and proclaimed capital of Wales in 1955. Since the 1990s Cardiff has seen significant development with a new waterfront area at Cardiff Bay which contains the Senedd building, home to the Welsh Assembly and the Wales Millennium Centre arts complex.
