Italian Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Italian language course. On starting your Italian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Italian language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Italian courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Italian training sessions for you in your home. London Italian Course Schedules

We run our Italian language courses in London all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Italian courses on request. Our Italian programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Italian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Italian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Italian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Italian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Italian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Italian for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Italian language trainers will tailor your Italian course so that your goals will be met quickly.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Italian is a Romance language spoken as a native language by about 70 million people in Italy, Malta, San Marino and parts of Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia and France.
