You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Italian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. We offer Italian courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Italian training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.

Intensive 30 hour per week Italian language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday. Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Italian course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Italian and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on.
You may desire simply to gain everyday Italian skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Italian and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing.
You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Italian for use in negotiations and meetings.
Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Italian language trainers will tailor your Italian course so that your goals will be met quickly. Italian Language Examination CoursesIf you are taking a Italian examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Italian teachers in Hull whose experience is above average.
SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Italian examination, administer the examination and issue you your results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Italian Courses Hull Italian is a Romance language spoken as a native language by about 70 million people in Italy, Malta, San Marino and parts of Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia and France. Many native speakers are native bilinguals of both standardised Italian and regional varieties.
Italian derives diachronically from Latin and is the closest national language to Latin. Unlike most other Romance languages, Italian retains Latin's contrast between short and long consonants. As in most Romance languages, stress is distinctive. In particular, among the Romance languages, Italian is the closest to Latin in terms of vocabulary. Lexical similarity is 89% with French, 87% with Sardinian, 85% with Catalan, 82% with Spanish, 78% with Rhaeto-Romance and 77% with Romanian. Kingston upon Hull usually referred to as Hull, is a city and unitary authority area in the ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It stands on the River Hull at its junction with the Humber estuary, 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea. Hull has a resident population of 258,700 (2008 est.). The Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) population stands at 573,300.
Renamed Kings town upon Hull by King Edward I in 1299, the town and city of Hull has served as market town, military supply port, trading hub, fishing and whaling centre, and industrial metropolis.
Hull was an early theatre of battle in the English Civil Wars. Its 18th-century Member of Parliament, William Wilberforce, played a key role in the abolition of the slave trade in Britain.
The city is unique in the UK in having had a municipally-owned telephone system from 1902, sporting cream, not red, telephone boxes. After suffering heavy damage during the Second World War, Hull weathered a period of post-industrial decline, during which the city gained unfavourable results on measures of social deprivation, education and policing. In recent years the city has embarked on an extensive programme of economic regeneration, reconstruction and urban renewal. The economic crisis since 2008 has caused some setbacks to these developments.
Hull has been the base for several notable poets, including former University of Hull Librarian Philip Larkin, many of whose poems were set in the city.
