Italian Courses for Business in CoventryPlease click a title below for further information: Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Italian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Italian teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements.
We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Italian tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Italian tutor prior to their Italian lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Italian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Italian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Italian in a social or business setting will be no problem. Italian courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Italian courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group.
As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Italian in Coventry on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress. Italian Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s Italian language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your Italian course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON’s Italian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Italian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Italian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.
Full-time residential Italian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.
Coventry Italian Course SchedulesOur Italian language courses in Coventry take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week.
If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Italian daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday.
We also provide Intensive Italian language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The Italian language course that you undertake will be customised for your Italian level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Italian level.
You may have little or no experience of Italian and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business.
You may want to raise your Italian skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills.
Whatever your objectives, our Italian language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Italian course will help you to meet your goals quickly. Italian Language Examination CoursesSIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Italian examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Italian teachers in Coventry who possess above average experience.
Registration for and administration of Italian examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Italian Courses Coventry Italian is a Romance language spoken as a native language by about 70 million people in Italy, Malta, San Marino and parts of Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia and France. Many native speakers are native bilinguals of both standardised Italian and regional varieties.
Italian derives diachronically from Latin and is the closest national language to Latin. Unlike most other Romance languages, Italian retains Latin's contrast between short and long consonants. As in most Romance languages, stress is distinctive. In particular, among the Romance languages, Italian is the closest to Latin in terms of vocabulary. Lexical similarity is 89% with French, 87% with Sardinian, 85% with Catalan, 82% with Spanish, 78% with Rhaeto-Romance and 77% with Romanian. Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the county of West Midlands in England. Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and the 11th largest in the United Kingdom. It is also the second largest city in the English Midlands, after Birmingham, with a population of 300,848, although both Leicester and Nottingham have larger urban areas. The population of Coventry has risen to 309,800 as of 2008.
Coventry is situated 95 miles (153 km) northwest of London and 19 miles (30 km) east of Birmingham, and is further from the coast than any other city in Britain. Although harbouring a population of almost a third of a million inhabitants, Coventry is not amongst the English Core Cities Group due to its proximity to Birmingham.
Coventry became an early 'twin city' when it formed a twinning relationship with the Russian city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) during World War II. The relationship developed through ordinary people in Coventry who wanted to show their support for the Soviet Red Army during the Battle of Stalingrad. The city is now twinned with Dresden and with 27 other cities around the world.
Coventry Cathedral is one of the newer cathedrals in the world, having been built following the World War II bombing of the ancient cathedral by the Luftwaffe. Coventry motor companies have contributed significantly to the British motor industry, and it has two universities, the city centre-based Coventry University and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts.
