Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Hungarian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Hungarian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Hungarian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Hungarian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Hungarian lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Hungarian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Hungarian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Hungarian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Hungarian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Hungarian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Hungarian in Windsor on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Hungarian Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Hungarian language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Hungarian course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

Hungarian language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Hungarian language course. We can arrange your Hungarian language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Hungarian language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Windsor Hungarian Course Schedules

We run Hungarian language courses in Windsor all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Hungarian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Hungarian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Hungarian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Hungarian language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Hungarian conversational skills or have more proficiency in Hungarian and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Hungarian for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Hungarian language trainers will work with you on a Hungarian language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Hungarian Language Examination Courses

Hungarian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Hungarian teachers in Windsor with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Hungarian examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them. It is the official language in the Central European country of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighbouring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide. There are about 16 million native speakers, of whom 9.5–10 million live in present-day Hungary.

Windsor is an affluent suburban town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is widely known as the site of Windsor Castle. The town is situated 21 miles (34 km) west of Charing Cross. It is immediately south of the River Thames, which forms its boundary with Eton. Windsor and the surrounding areas contain some of the most expensive and desirable housing in the UK. The village of Old Windsor, just over two miles to the south, predates what is now called Windsor by around 300 years; in the past Windsor was formally referred to as New Windsor to distinguish the two. The early history of the site is unknown, although the site was almost certainly settled many years before the medieval castle was built. Histories of the town note that the combination of the navigable river and the strategically-placed hill point to the likelihood of continuous human settlement from early times. Evidence includes archaeological finds from Windsor, such as palaeolithic hand-axes, neolithic flint picks, Bronze Age swords and an Iron Age brooch. Although Roman remains are few, there is ample evidence of Anglo Saxon settlement in the area.
