Our Hungarian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Hungarian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Hungarian in at London on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Hungarian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Hungarian language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Hungarian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. The Hungarian language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Hungarian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Hungarian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Hungarian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Hungarian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

London Hungarian Course Schedules

Our Hungarian language courses in London take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Hungarian daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Hungarian language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Hungarian language course that you undertake will be customised for your Hungarian level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Hungarian level. You may have little or no experience of Hungarian and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Hungarian skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Hungarian language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Hungarian course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Hungarian Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Hungarian examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Hungarian teachers in London who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Hungarian examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them.
