As we have a global network of language trainers your Hungarian language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Hungarian lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Hungarian lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Hungarian language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Leeds Hungarian Course Schedules

Our Hungarian language courses in Leeds go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Hungarian can be arranged on request. Our Hungarian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Hungarian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Hungarian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Hungarian language course we will assess your goals and level of Hungarian experience. Your desire to learn Hungarian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Hungarian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Hungarian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. Hungarian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Hungarian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Hungarian teachers in Leeds who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Hungarian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them. It is the official language in the Central European country of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighbouring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide. There are about 16 million native speakers, of whom 9.5–10 million live in present-day Hungary.

Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. In 2001 Leeds' main urban subdivision had a population of 443,247, while the entire city had a population of 770,800 (2008 est.). Leeds is the cultural, financial and commercial heart of the West Yorkshire Urban Area, which at the 2001 census had a population of 1.5 million, and the Leeds city region, an economic area with Leeds at its core, had a population of 2.9 million. Leeds is the UK's largest centre for business, legal, and financial services outside London. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Leeds can trace its recorded history to fifth century when the Kingdom of Elmet was covered by the forest of "Loidis", the origin of the name Leeds. The name has been applied to many administrative entities over the centuries. It changed from being the appellation of a small manorial borough, in the 13th century, through several incarnations, to being the name attached to the present metropolitan borough. In the 17th and 18th centuries Leeds became a major centre for the production and trading of wool. Then, during the Industrial Revolution, Leeds developed into a major industrial centre; wool was still the dominant industry but flax, engineering, iron foundries, printing and other industries were important. From being a compact market town in the valley of the River Aire in the 16th century Leeds expanded and absorbed the surrounding villages to become a populous urban centre by the mid-20th century.
