Harrogate Hungarian Course Schedules

We run Hungarian language courses in Harrogate all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Hungarian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Hungarian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Hungarian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Hungarian Language Examination Courses

Hungarian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them. It is the official language in the Central European country of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighbouring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide. There are about 16 million native speakers, of whom 9.5–10 million live in present-day Hungary.

Harrogate (or Harrogate Spa) is a spa town in North Yorkshire, England. The town is a tourist destination and some of its visitor attractions include its spa waters, RHS Harlow Carr gardens, and Bettys Tea Rooms, that internationally sells Fat Rascals. The town serves as a location from which to explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales national park. Harrogate originated in the 17th century, with High Harrogate and Low Harrogate as two separate settlements. It lies adjacent to Knaresborough, with which it forms a single urban area, and is in the Nidd valley. Harrogate spa water contains iron, sulphur and common salt. The town became known as 'The English Spa' in the Georgian Era, after its waters were first discovered in the sixteenth century. In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries especially, these 'chalybeate' waters (i.e. containing iron) were a popular health treatment, and the influx of wealthy but sickly visitors contributed significantly to the wealth of the town. Harrogate railway station and Harrogate bus station in the town centre provide transport connections. Leeds Bradford International Airport is 10 miles (16 km) south west of Harrogate. The main road through the town is the A61, connecting Harrogate to Leeds and Ripon. Harrogate is also connected to Wetherby and the A1, by the A661.
