SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Hungarian speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Hungarian language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Hungarian tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Hungarian tutor before they start their course of lessons.

If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience! Your teacher will conduct your Hungarian lesson in Bristol almost entirely in Hungarian - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Hungarian in a variety of social and business situations.

The Hungarian courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Hungarian training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Hungarian courses at Bristol are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Hungarian Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Hungarian language course. On starting your Hungarian course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

SIMON & SIMON’s Hungarian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Hungarian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Hungarian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Hungarian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Bristol Hungarian Course Schedules

Our Hungarian language courses in Bristol go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Hungarian can be arranged on request. Our Hungarian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Hungarian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Hungarian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Hungarian language course we will assess your goals and level of Hungarian experience. Your desire to learn Hungarian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Hungarian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Hungarian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Hungarian trainers experience and that your Hungarian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Hungarian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Hungarian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Hungarian teachers in Bristol who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Hungarian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Hungarian Courses Bristol

Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them. It is the official language in the Central European country of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighbouring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide. There are about 16 million native speakers, of whom 9.5–10 million live in present-day Hungary.

Bristol is a city, unitary authority area and ceremonial county in South West England, with an estimated population of 433,100 for the unitary authority in 2009, and a surrounding Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) with an estimated 1,006,600 residents, it is England's sixth, and the United Kingdom's eighth most populous city, one of the group of English Core Cities and the most populous city in South West England. Bristol received a Royal Charter in 1155 and was granted County status in 1373. From the 13th century, for half a millennium, it ranked amongst the top three English cities after London, alongside York and Norwich, on the basis of tax receipts, until the rapid rise of Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester during the Industrial Revolution in the latter part of the 18th century. It borders the counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire, and is also located near the historic cities of Bath to the south east and Gloucester to the north. The city is built around the River Avon, and it also has a short coastline on the Severn Estuary, which flows into the Bristol Channel. Bristol is the largest centre of culture, employment and education in the region. Its prosperity has been linked with the sea since its earliest days. The commercial Port of Bristol was originally in the city centre before being moved to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth; Royal Portbury Dock is on the western edge of the city boundary.
