Hungarian Courses for Business in Birmingham

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Hungarian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Hungarian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Hungarian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Hungarian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Hungarian lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Hungarian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Hungarian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Hungarian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Hungarian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Hungarian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Hungarian in at Birmingham on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Hungarian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Hungarian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Hungarian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Hungarian language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Hungarian language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Hungarian lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Hungarian lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Hungarian language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Birmingham Hungarian Course Schedules

Our Hungarian language courses in Birmingham take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Hungarian daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Hungarian language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Hungarian language course that you undertake will be customised for your Hungarian level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Hungarian level. You may have little or no experience of Hungarian and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Hungarian skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Hungarian language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Hungarian course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Hungarian Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Hungarian examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Hungarian teachers in Birmingham who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Hungarian examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Hungarian is a Uralic language, part of the Ugric group, related to Finnish, Estonian and a number of minority languages spoken in the Baltic states and northern European Russia eastward into central Siberia. The Uralic languages are not related to the Indo-European languages that dominate Europe but have acquired loan words from them. It is the official language in the Central European country of Hungary and is also spoken by Hungarian communities in the seven neighbouring countries and by diaspora communities worldwide. There are about 16 million native speakers, of whom 9.5–10 million live in present-day Hungary.

Birmingham is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands county of England. It is the most populous British city outside London, with a population of 1,028,700 (2009 estimate), and lies at the heart of the West Midlands conurbation, the United Kingdom's second most populous urban area with a population of 2,284,093 (2001 census). Birmingham's metropolitan area, which includes surrounding towns to which it is closely tied through commuting, is also the United Kingdom's second most populous with a population of 3,683,000. Birmingham was a powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution in England, a fact which led to it being known as "the workshop of the world" or the "city of a thousand trades". Although Birmingham's industrial importance has declined, it has developed into a national commercial centre, being named in 2010 as the third-best place in the United Kingdom to locate a business. Birmingham is a national hub for conferences, retail and events along with an established high tech, research and development sector, supported by its three Universities. It is also the fourth-most visited city by foreign visitors in the UK, has the second-largest city economy in the UK. Birmingham is ranked as a gamma- world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. In 2010, Birmingham was ranked as the 55th-most livable city in the world, according to the Mercer Index of worldwide standards of living.
