At the start of your Greek course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON have run Greek language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Greek language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Yorkshire Greek Course Schedules

Our Greek language courses in Yorkshire take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Greek daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Greek language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Greek language course that you undertake will be customised for your Greek level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Greek level. You may have little or no experience of Greek and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Greek skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Greek language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Greek course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Greek Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Greek examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Greek teachers in Yorkshire who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Greek examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
