Greek Courses for Business in SuffolkPlease click a title below for further information: Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Greek Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Greek teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements.
We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Greek tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Greek tutor prior to their Greek lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Greek teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Greek means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Greek in a social or business setting will be no problem. Greek courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Greek courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group.
As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Greek in Suffolk on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress. Greek Course ManagementEvery SIMON & SIMON Greek language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual.
At the start of your Greek language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources. You may have never been exposed to Greek before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Greek when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Greek in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Greek language trainers will tailor your Greek course so that your goals can be quickly met. Greek Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any Greek examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Greek teachers in Suffolk.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for Greek examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Greek Courses Suffolk Greek an independent branch of the Indo-European family of languages, is the language of the Greeks. Native to the southern Balkans, it has the longest documented history of any Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records. Its writing system has been the Greek alphabet for the majority of its history; other systems, such as Linear B and the Cypriot syllabary, were previously used. The alphabet arose from the Phoenician script, and was in turn the basis of the Latin, Cyrillic, Coptic, and many other writing systems. Suffolk is a non-metropolitan county of historic origin in East Anglia, England. It has borders with Norfolk to the north, Cambridgeshire to the west and Essex to the south. The North Sea lies to the east. The county town is Ipswich; other important towns include Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe, one of the largest container ports in Europe.
The county is low-lying with few hills, and is largely wetland habitat and arable land with the wetlands of The Broads in the North. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Suffolk was part of the kingdom of East Anglia which was settled by the Angles in the 5th century AD.
Suffolk was divided into separate Quarter Sessions divisions. These were originally four in number, reduced to two in 1860, the eastern division being administered from Ipswich and the western from Bury St Edmunds. The two divisions were made separate administrative counties as East Suffolk and West Suffolk under the Local Government Act 1888, with Ipswich becoming a county borough. A few Essex parishes were also added to Suffolk: Ballingdon-with-Brundon, and parts of Haverhill and Kedington.
