Staffordshire Greek Course Schedules

The Greek language courses in Staffordshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Greek courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Greek language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Greek language course we will assess your level of Greek and speak to you about your aims so that your Greek language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Greek before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Greek when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Greek in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Greek language trainers will tailor your Greek course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Greek Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Greek examinations. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Greek an independent branch of the Indo-European family of languages, is the language of the Greeks. Native to the southern Balkans, it has the longest documented history of any Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records. Its writing system has been the Greek alphabet for the majority of its history; other systems, such as Linear B and the Cypriot syllabary, were previously used. The alphabet arose from the Phoenician script, and was in turn the basis of the Latin, Cyrillic, Coptic, and many other writing systems.

Staffordshire is a landlocked county in the West Midlands region of England. Part of the National Forest lies within its borders. It adjoins the ceremonial counties of Cheshire (to the north west), Derbyshire (to the east), Leicestershire (to the east), Warwickshire (to the south east), West Midlands (to the south), Worcestershire (to the south), and Shropshire (to the west). The largest city in Staffordshire is Stoke-on-Trent, which is administered separately from the rest of the county as an independent unitary authority.
