If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your Greek teacher in Huddersfield will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Greek. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Greek. The Greek courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Greek training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Greek courses at Huddersfield are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Greek Course ManagementOne of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Greek language course.
On starting your Greek course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you. Huddersfield Greek Course SchedulesOur Greek language courses in Huddersfield take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week.
If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Greek daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday.
We also provide Intensive Greek language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Greek level.
You may have little or no experience of Greek and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business.
You may want to raise your Greek skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills.
Whatever your objectives, our Greek language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Greek course will help you to meet your goals quickly. Greek Language Examination CoursesSIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Greek examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Greek teachers in Huddersfield who possess above average experience.
Registration for and administration of Greek examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Greek Courses Huddersfield Greek an independent branch of the Indo-European family of languages, is the language of the Greeks. Native to the southern Balkans, it has the longest documented history of any Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records. Its writing system has been the Greek alphabet for the majority of its history; other systems, such as Linear B and the Cypriot syllabary, were previously used. The alphabet arose from the Phoenician script, and was in turn the basis of the Latin, Cyrillic, Coptic, and many other writing systems.
