Our German language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 German training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. German Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON German language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your German course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. SIMON & SIMON German language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a German language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our German courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange German training sessions for you in your home. Cambridgeshire German Course Schedules

We run our German language courses in Cambridgeshire all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend German courses on request. Our German programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week German language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your German course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of German and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday German skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in German and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your German for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced German language trainers will tailor your German course so that your goals will be met quickly.

German Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a German examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

German is a West Germanic language, thus related to and classified alongside English and Dutch. It is one of the world's major languages and the most widely spoken first language in the European Union. Globally, German is spoken by approximately 120 million native speakers and also by about 80 million non-native speakers. Standard German is widely taught in schools, universities and Goethe Institutes worldwide. German is primarily spoken in Germany (where it is the first language for more than 95% of the population), Austria (89%) and Switzerland (65%). German is also spoken by the majority of the populations of Luxembourg and Liechtenstein. Cambridgeshire is a former United Kingdom Parliamentary constituency. It was a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of England then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. It was represented by two Knights of the Shire until 1832, when the number of members was increased to three. It was divided between the constituencies of Chesterton, Newmarket and Wisbech in 1885. The parliamentary county was again reconstituted in 1918. In 1983, when the redistribution of seats took place on the basis of the expanded post-1974 Cambridgeshire, the constituency was divided between the new constituencies of North East Cambridgeshire (including a small part of Peterborough), South East Cambridgeshire and South West Cambridgeshire (including a minority of territory from the former Huntingdonshire).
