French Courses for Business in OxfordshirePlease click a title below for further information: Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON French Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified French teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency.
Feedback from clients on our French tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their French Lessons. New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school.
When you start a French course in Oxfordshire, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in French. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use French to communicate in social and business settings. The French courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 French training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 French courses at Oxfordshire are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. French Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s French language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your French course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON’s French language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a French language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange French language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.
Full-time residential French language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.
Oxfordshire French Course SchedulesThe French language courses in Oxfordshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more.
We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. French courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive French language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday. Before you start your French language course we will assess your level of French and speak to you about your aims so that your French language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to French before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in French when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use French in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced French language trainers will tailor your French course so that your goals can be quickly met. French Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any French examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced French teachers in Oxfordshire.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for French examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Oxfordshire is a county in the South East region of England, bordering on Warwickshire, Northamptonshire (to the north/northeast), Buckinghamshire (to the east), Berkshire (to the south), Wiltshire and Swindon (to the southwest), Gloucestershire (to the west) and Warwickshire (to the north).
It is divided into five local government districts: Oxford, Cherwell, Vale of White Horse (after the Uffington White Horse), West Oxfordshire and South Oxfordshire.
The county has a major tourist industry. The area is noted for the concentration of performance motorsport companies and facilities. Oxford University Press is the largest firm among a concentration of print and publishing firms; the University of Oxford is also linked to the concentration of local biotechnology companies.
The main centre of population is the city of Oxford. Other significant settlements are Banbury, Bicester, Kidlington, and Chipping Norton to the north of Oxford; Witney to the west; Thame and Chinnor to the east; and Abingdon, Wantage, Didcot, Wallingford and Henley-on-Thames to the south. Future population growth in the county is hoped to be concentrated around Oxford, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot and Witney, near the South Midlands growth area.
The highest point of the administrative county is White Horse Hill, in the Vale of White Horse, reaching 261 metres (856 ft). The highest point in the historic county is near Portobello Farm in the Chiltern Hills at 255 metres.
