The feedback on our French tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your French course, you will be sent a profile on your specific French teacher’s experience and background. If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile.
Your French teacher in Northamptonshire will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in French. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in French. We offer French courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 French training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money.
Those who learn French at Northamptonshire on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. French Course ManagementOne of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON French language course.
On starting your French course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you. French language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your French language course.
We can arrange your French language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel.
Residential full-time French language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you. Northamptonshire French Course SchedulesThe French language courses in Northamptonshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more.
We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. French courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive French language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday. Before you start your French language course we will assess your level of French and speak to you about your aims so that your French language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to French before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in French when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use French in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced French language trainers will tailor your French course so that your goals can be quickly met. French Language Examination CoursesWe are happy to help in your preparation for any French examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced French teachers in Northamptonshire.
Issuing of results certificates, registration for French examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
