French Courses for Business in AshfordPlease click a title below for further information: SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native French speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s French language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience.
We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our French tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their French tutor before they start their course of lessons. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your French teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in French means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using French in a social or business setting will be no problem. French courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees French courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group.
As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning French in Ashford on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress. French Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s French languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.
When you start your French course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. The French language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your French language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield.
Most of our clients arrange for their French lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run French lessons in your home.
We also run residential full-time French language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of. Ashford French Course SchedulesOur French language courses in Ashford take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week.
If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our French daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday.
We also provide Intensive French language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday. The French language course that you undertake will be customised for your French level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you French level.
You may have little or no experience of French and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business.
You may want to raise your French skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills.
Whatever your objectives, our French language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised French course will help you to meet your goals quickly. French Language Examination CoursesSIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for French examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with French teachers in Ashford who possess above average experience.
Registration for and administration of French examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of French Courses Ashford French is a Romance language spoken as a first language by around 136 million people worldwide. A total of 500 million speak it as either a first, second, and foreign language. Moreover, some 200 million people learn French as a foreign language. French speaking communities are present in 56 countries and territories. Most native speakers of the language live in France, the rest live essentially in Canada, particularly Quebec, a minority in New Brunswick and Maine, as well as Belgium, Switzerland, Monaco, Luxembourg and Louisiana. Most second-language speakers of French live in Francophone Africa, arguably exceeding the number of native speakers. Ashford is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. In 2005 it was voted the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom. It lies on the Great Stour river, the M20 motorway, and the South Eastern Main Line and High Speed 1 railways. Its agricultural market is one of the most important in the county. Ashford is a relatively common English place-name: it goes back to Old English æscet, indicating a ford near a clump of ash-trees.
As a market town, Ashford has for centuries been a local communications hub for surrounding villages and has stood at the centre of five railway lines, (Ashford to Ramsgate (via Canterbury West) line, Swanley to Ashford (via Maidstone East) Line, South Eastern Main Line, Kent Coast Line and the Marshlink Line) since the 19th century and with the opening of the International Passenger Station is now an important European communications centre, with new lines running between London and the Channel Tunnel (via High Speed 1).
