English Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s English language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your English course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

English language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your English language course. We can arrange your English language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time English language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

London English Course Schedules

The English language courses in London that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. English courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive English language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your English language course we will assess your level of English and speak to you about your aims so that your English language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to English before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in English when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use English in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced English language trainers will tailor your English course so that your goals can be quickly met.

English Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any English examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced English teachers in London. Issuing of results certificates, registration for English examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
