Feedback from clients on our English tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their English Lessons. New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school.
When you start a English course in Lincolnshire, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in English. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use English to communicate in social and business settings. Our English language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 English training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning English in at Lincolnshire on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. English Course ManagementSIMON & SIMON’s English language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual.
At the start of your English course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources. SIMON & SIMON has arranged English language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a English language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond.
The vast majority of our English lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but English lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient.
We can also arrange full-time residential English language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations. Lincolnshire English Course SchedulesWe run English language courses in Lincolnshire all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow.
Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our English weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive English language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week. Your English language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your English language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in.
Students may be complete novices who need everyday English conversational skills or have more proficiency in English and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently.
Students may desire to bolster their English for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills.
No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced English language trainers will work with you on a English language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals. English Language Examination CoursesEnglish examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of English teachers in Lincolnshire with experience above the average.
SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of English examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of English Courses Lincolnshire English is a West Germanic language that arose in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England and spread into what was to become south-east Scotland under the influence of the Anglian medieval kingdom of Northumbria. Following the economic, political, military, scientific, cultural, and colonial influence of Great Britain and the United Kingdom from the 18th century, via the British Empire, and of the United States since the mid-20th century, it has been widely dispersed around the world, become the leading language of international discourse, and has acquired use as lingua franca in many regions. It is widely learned as a second language and used as an official language of the European Union and many Commonwealth countries, as well as in many world organizations. It is the third most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Lincolnshire is a county in the east of England. It borders Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, and the East Riding of Yorkshire. It also borders Northamptonshire for just 19 metres (20 yards), England's shortest county boundary. The county town is the city of Lincoln, where the county council has its headquarters.
The ceremonial county of Lincolnshire is composed of the non-metropolitan county of Lincolnshire and the area covered by the unitary authorities of North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire. The county is the second largest of the English counties and one that is predominantly agricultural in land use.
