Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Dutch language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience.
We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Dutch tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Dutch tutor before they start their course of lessons. If you have only studied languages before at school you will find that teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years - it's now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience!
Your teacher will conduct your Dutch lesson in Warwickshire almost entirely in Dutch - a method known as the Communicative Approach - and you will find yourself making progress from the very first lesson and soon growing in the confidence to communicate in Dutch in a variety of social and business situations. Our Dutch language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Dutch training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Dutch in at Warwickshire on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Dutch Course ManagementA multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Dutch language course.
A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Dutch course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks. SIMON & SIMON’s Dutch language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Dutch language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere.
We can arrange Dutch language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel.

We will tailor your Dutch language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Dutch language course we will assess your goals and level of Dutch experience.
Your desire to learn Dutch may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Dutch to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Dutch in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.
No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Dutch trainers experience and that your Dutch language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met. Dutch Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Dutch examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Dutch teachers in Warwickshire who have a higher level of experience than average.
SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Dutch examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Dutch Courses Warwickshire Dutch is a West Germanic language and the native language of the majority of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname, the three member states of the Dutch Language Union. Most speakers live in the European Union, where it is a first language for about 23 million and a second language for another 5 million people. It also holds official status in the Caribbean island nations of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint-Maarten, while historical minorities remain in parts of France and Germany, and to a lesser extent, in Indonesia, and up to 600,000 native Dutch-speakers may be living in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Warwickshire is a landlocked non-metropolitan county in the West Midlands region of England. The county town is Warwick, although the largest town is Nuneaton in the far north of the county. The shape of the administrative area Warwickshire differs considerably from that of the historic county. Commonly used abbreviations for the county are Warks or Warwicks.
Warwickshire is perhaps best known for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare from Stratford-upon-Avon. Even today, road signs at the county boundary describe Warwickshire as "Shakespeare's County". The county has also produced other literary figures such as George Eliot (from Nuneaton), Rupert Brooke (from Rugby), and Michael Drayton from Hartshill. The poet Philip Larkin lived in Warwick (born in nearby Coventry), and Elizabeth Gaskell went to school in Barford and Stratford.
Warwickshire is bounded to the north-west by the West Midlands metropolitan county and Staffordshire, by Leicestershire to the north-east, Northamptonshire to the east, Worcestershire to the west, Oxfordshire to the south and Gloucestershire to the south-west. The northern tip of the county is only 5 km (3 miles) from the Derbyshire border. An average-sized English county covering an area of almost 2,000 km2, it runs some 96 km (60 mi) north to south.
