Milton Keynes Dutch Course Schedules

Our Dutch language courses in Milton Keynes take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Dutch daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Dutch language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Dutch language course that you undertake will be customised for your Dutch level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Dutch level. You may have little or no experience of Dutch and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. Dutch is a West Germanic language and the native language of the majority of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname, the three member states of the Dutch Language Union. Most speakers live in the European Union, where it is a first language for about 23 million and a second language for another 5 million people. It also holds official status in the Caribbean island nations of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint-Maarten, while historical minorities remain in parts of France and Germany, and to a lesser extent, in Indonesia, and up to 600,000 native Dutch-speakers may be living in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Milton Keynes is a large town in Buckinghamshire, in the south east of England, about 49 miles (79 km) north-west of London. It is also the administrative centre of the Borough of Milton Keynes. It was formally designated as a new town on 23 January 1967, with the design brief to become a 'city' in scale. Its 89 km2 (34 sq mi) area incorporated the existing towns of Bletchley, Wolverton and Stony Stratford along with another fifteen villages and farmland in between. It took its name from the existing village of Milton Keynes, a few miles east of the planned centre. At the 2001 census the population of the Milton Keynes urban area, including the adjacent Newport Pagnell, was 184,506, and that of the wider borough, which has been a unitary authority independent of Buckinghamshire County Council since 1997, was 207,063 (compared with a population of around 53,000 for the same area in 1961). The Borough’s population is currently estimated to be over 230,000.
