Dutch Courses for Business in Lincolnshire

All over the UK, private individuals and professionals in a variety of companies have gained benefits by taking part in a Dutch Language Course from SIMON & SIMON. With an average of 15 years’ experience, the native Dutch speakers of SIMON & SIMON’s qualified teaching team tailor each course for the specific requirements of the student, from absolute novices to those with some experience. Our clients reliably give excellent feedback on our Dutch teachers. Each of our students receives an information profile on the background and experience of their Dutch teacher before they commence their Dutch lessons.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Dutch teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Dutch means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Dutch in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Dutch language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Dutch training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Dutch in at Lincolnshire on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Dutch Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Dutch language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Dutch course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

SIMON & SIMON’s Dutch language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Dutch language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Dutch language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Dutch language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Lincolnshire Dutch Course Schedules

Our Dutch language courses in Lincolnshire take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Dutch daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Dutch language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Dutch language course that you undertake will be customised for your Dutch level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Dutch level. You may have little or no experience of Dutch and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Dutch skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Dutch language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Dutch course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Dutch Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Dutch examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Dutch teachers in Lincolnshire who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Dutch examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Dutch Courses Lincolnshire

Dutch is a West Germanic language and the native language of the majority of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname, the three member states of the Dutch Language Union. Most speakers live in the European Union, where it is a first language for about 23 million and a second language for another 5 million people. It also holds official status in the Caribbean island nations of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint-Maarten, while historical minorities remain in parts of France and Germany, and to a lesser extent, in Indonesia, and up to 600,000 native Dutch-speakers may be living in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Lincolnshire is a county in the east of England. It borders Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, and the East Riding of Yorkshire. It also borders Northamptonshire for just 19 metres (20 yards), England's shortest county boundary. The county town is the city of Lincoln, where the county council has its headquarters. The ceremonial county of Lincolnshire is composed of the non-metropolitan county of Lincolnshire and the area covered by the unitary authorities of North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire. The county is the second largest of the English counties and one that is predominantly agricultural in land use.
