Dutch Courses for Business in BirminghamPlease click a title below for further information: Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Dutch courses, taught by a team of qualified native Dutch speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience.
The feedback on our Dutch tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Dutch course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Dutch teacher’s experience and background. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Dutch teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Dutch means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Dutch in a social or business setting will be no problem. The Dutch courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Dutch training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week.
If you require faster progress, 1:1 Dutch courses at Birmingham are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths. Dutch Course ManagementEach of SIMON & SIMON’s Dutch languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager.
When you start your Dutch course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources. Dutch language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Dutch language course.
We can arrange your Dutch language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel.
Residential full-time Dutch language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you. Birmingham Dutch Course SchedulesOur Dutch language courses in Birmingham go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week.

30 hour per week intensive Dutch courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday. We will tailor your Dutch language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Dutch language course we will assess your goals and level of Dutch experience.
Your desire to learn Dutch may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Dutch to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Dutch in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.
No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Dutch trainers experience and that your Dutch language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met. Dutch Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Dutch examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Dutch teachers in Birmingham who have a higher level of experience than average.
SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Dutch examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Dutch Courses Birmingham Dutch is a West Germanic language and the native language of the majority of the population of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Suriname, the three member states of the Dutch Language Union. Most speakers live in the European Union, where it is a first language for about 23 million and a second language for another 5 million people. It also holds official status in the Caribbean island nations of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint-Maarten, while historical minorities remain in parts of France and Germany, and to a lesser extent, in Indonesia, and up to 600,000 native Dutch-speakers may be living in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Birmingham is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands county of England. It is the most populous British city outside London, with a population of 1,028,700 (2009 estimate), and lies at the heart of the West Midlands conurbation, the United Kingdom's second most populous urban area with a population of 2,284,093 (2001 census). Birmingham's metropolitan area, which includes surrounding towns to which it is closely tied through commuting, is also the United Kingdom's second most populous with a population of 3,683,000.
Birmingham was a powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution in England, a fact which led to it being known as "the workshop of the world" or the "city of a thousand trades". Although Birmingham's industrial importance has declined, it has developed into a national commercial centre, being named in 2010 as the third-best place in the United Kingdom to locate a business. Birmingham is a national hub for conferences, retail and events along with an established high tech, research and development sector, supported by its three Universities. It is also the fourth-most visited city by foreign visitors in the UK, has the second-largest city economy in the UK. Birmingham is ranked as a gamma- world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network.
In 2010, Birmingham was ranked as the 55th-most livable city in the world, according to the Mercer Index of worldwide standards of living.
