Prior to the start of your Czech course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Czech teacher’s experience and background. Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding.
The Communicative Approach, where your Czech teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Czech means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Czech in a social or business setting will be no problem. Our Czech courses are usually offered by our clients as 1:1 training for their employees. Group sessions, however, are also available and can be excellent value for money. Planning is required so that participants all meet at the same time each week, and we recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less.

When your Czech course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Czech language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond.
Most of our Czech courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Czech training sessions for you in your home.
Full-time Czech courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer. Yorkshire Czech Course SchedulesOur Czech language courses in Yorkshire go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week.
Weekend Courses in Czech can be arranged on request. Our Czech courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday.
30 hour per week intensive Czech courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday. We will tailor your Czech language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Czech language course we will assess your goals and level of Czech experience.
Your desire to learn Czech may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Czech to discuss business.
You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Czech in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills.

Czech Language Examination CoursesOur students’ pass rate for Czech examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Czech examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.
