Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Czech Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Czech speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Czech teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Czech teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Czech lessons start.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Czech lessons in Tyne-and-Wear will be almost entirely through the medium of Czech. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Czech with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Czech language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Czech training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Czech in Tyne-and-Wear on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Czech language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Czech language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

Czech language courses have been run by SIMON & SIMON in many locations. Our global network of language trainers means that any major city in the UK Europe, and beyond can hold your Czech language course. We can arrange your Czech language lessons for your own home, but many of our clients like to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Residential full-time Czech language courses are also available. Our office can discuss available locations with you.

Tyne-and-Wear Czech Course Schedules

We run our Czech language courses in Tyne-and-Wear all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Czech courses on request. Our Czech programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Czech language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Czech course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Czech and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Czech skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Czech and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Czech for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Czech language trainers will tailor your Czech course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Czech Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Czech examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Czech teachers in Tyne-and-Wear whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Czech examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Tyne-and-Wear

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Tyne and Wear is a metropolitan county in North East England around the mouths of the Rivers Tyne and Wear. It came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972. It consists of the five metropolitan boroughs of South Tyneside, North Tyneside, City of Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and the City of Sunderland. North Tyneside and Newcastle upon Tyne had previously existed within the historic county of Northumberland, whereas South Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland were all previously within the borders of County Durham, with the River Tyne forming the border of the two counties. Tyne and Wear is bounded on the east by the North Sea, and as a Ceremonial county, shares borders with Northumberland to the north and County Durham to the south. Tyne and Wear County Council was abolished in 1986, and so its districts (the metropolitan boroughs) are now effectively unitary authorities. However, the metropolitan county continues to exist in law and as a geographic frame of reference.
