Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Czech lessons in Rotherham will be carried out almost completely in Czech. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Czech to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Czech language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Czech training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Czech in Rotherham on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Czech language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Czech course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

SIMON & SIMON Czech language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Czech language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Czech courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Czech training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Czech courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Rotherham Czech Course Schedules

Our Czech language courses in Rotherham take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Czech daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Czech language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Czech language course that you undertake will be customised for your Czech level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Czech level. You may have little or no experience of Czech and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Czech skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Czech language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Czech course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Czech Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Czech examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Czech teachers in Rotherham who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Czech examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Rotherham

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Rotherham is a town in South Yorkshire, England. It lies on the River Don, at its confluence with the River Rother, between Sheffield and Doncaster. Rotherham, at 6 miles (10 km) from Sheffield City Centre, is surrounded by several smaller settlements, which together form the wider Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. According to the 2001 Census the population of Rotherham is 117,262. There were Iron Age and Roman settlements in the area covered by the town but Rotherham was not founded until the early Middle Ages. It established itself as a key Saxon market town, lying on a Roman road near a forded part of the River Don. By the late Saxon period, Rotherham was at the centre of a large parish on both sides of the River Don. Following the Norman Conquest, an absentee lord, Nigel Fossard, was put in place. His successors the De Vescis rarely visited the town and did not build a castle or contribute to the town's civic life, but maintained a Friday market and a fair. In the mid 13th century, John de Vesci and Ralph de Tili gave all their possessions in Rotherham to Rufford Abbey. The monks collected tithes from the town and gained rights to an additional market day on Monday and to extend the annual fair from two to three days.
