Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Czech Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Czech teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency. Feedback from clients on our Czech tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Czech Lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Czech lessons in Northampton will be carried out almost completely in Czech. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Czech to communicate in various business and social situations.

We offer Czech courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Czech training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Czech at Northampton on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Czech course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Czech language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Czech language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Czech lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Czech lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Czech language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Northampton Czech Course Schedules

We run Czech language courses in Northampton all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Czech weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Czech language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Czech language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Czech language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Czech conversational skills or have more proficiency in Czech and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Czech for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Czech language trainers will work with you on a Czech language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Czech Language Examination Courses

Czech examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Czech teachers in Northampton with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Czech examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Northampton

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Northampton is a large market town and local government district in the East Midlands region of England. It is about 67 miles (108 km) north-west of London and around 50 miles (80 km) south-east of Birmingham, and lies on the River Nene. It is the county town of Northamptonshire. The district's population is 200,100 and the town population is 189,474, making Northampton the 22nd-largest settlement in England, and the UK's 4th-largest town without official city status, after Reading, Dudley and Milton Keynes. Northampton is the most populous district in England that is not a unitary authority, a status it failed to obtain in the 1990s local government reform. Northampton's population has increased greatly since the 1960s, largely due to planned expansion under the New Towns Commission in the early 1970s. Remains found here date from the Bronze Age. Farming settlement probably began around the 7th century AD. In the 8th century it was an administrative centre for the kingdom of Mercia. The pre-Norman town was known as Hamtun and was only ca0.60 acres (2,400 m2).
