Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Czech courses, taught by a team of qualified native Czech speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Czech tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Czech course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Czech teacher’s experience and background.

New teaching approaches have revolutionised how modern language training is now approached. This training, with more fun and a more worthwhile experience means that it’s a far cry from what you may remember of studying languages in school. When you start a Czech course in Merseyside, you will make progress from the very first lesson, as almost everything will be done in Czech. This is known as the Communicative Approach, and means that your confidence and ability will soon grow so that you can use Czech to communicate in social and business settings.

Our Czech courses are usually offered by our clients as 1:1 training for their employees. Group sessions, however, are also available and can be excellent value for money. Planning is required so that participants all meet at the same time each week, and we recommend that numbers are kept to 6 or less. 1:1 Czech lessons at Merseyside mean that you will have your individual needs, weaknesses and strengths catered for, so that your progress is quicker.

Czech Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Czech language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Czech course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Czech language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Czech language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Czech lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Czech lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Czech language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Merseyside Czech Course Schedules

Our Czech language courses in Merseyside take place throughout the year. Many of our students try to attend more than one weekly lesson if work commitments allow, and most will attend at least one session of 90-minutes duration per week. If you would like a Weekend Course, one can be arranged. Our Czech daytime courses run from 8am through to 8pm, Monday - Friday. We also provide Intensive Czech language courses on clients’ premises or in residential centres both in the UK and abroad. These courses run for 30 hours of the week, 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

The Czech language course that you undertake will be customised for your Czech level and personal goals. Before you start the course, we will speak to you about your desired focus and assess you Czech level. You may have little or no experience of Czech and only want basic conversational skills or you may be more proficient and desire more fluency with which to discuss business. You may want to raise your Czech skills for use in meetings and negotiations or rather develop increased comprehension and pronunciation skills. Whatever your objectives, our Czech language trainers are highly experienced, and you can be confident that your personalised Czech course will help you to meet your goals quickly.

Czech Language Examination Courses

SIMON & SIMON also assists in preparation for Czech examinations, whether for business or personal qualification. We believe that our 95% pass rate for language examinations is a reflection of our policy of working with Czech teachers in Merseyside who possess above average experience. Registration for and administration of Czech examinations, along with the issuing of results certificates are all provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Merseyside

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Merseyside is a metropolitan county in North West England, with a population of 1,365,900. Taking its name from the River Mersey, Merseyside came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974, after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, and the county consists of five metropolitan boroughs adjoining the Mersey Estuary, including the City of Liverpool. Merseyside County Council was abolished in 1986, and so its districts (the metropolitan boroughs) are now effectively unitary authorities. However, the metropolitan county is still recognised for ceremonial and administrative purposes. Merseyside is divided into two parts by the Mersey Estuary: the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral is located to the west of the estuary on the Wirral Peninsula; the rest of the county is located on the eastern side of the estuary. The eastern boroughs of Merseyside border Lancashire to the north and Greater Manchester to the east, and both parts of Merseyside, west and east of the estuary, border Cheshire to the south. The territory comprising the county of Merseyside previously consisted of the county boroughs of Birkenhead, Wallasey, Liverpool, Bootle, Southport and St Helens. Birkenhead and Wallasey were part of the county of Cheshire, whilst Liverpool, Bootle, Crosby, Formby, Southport and St Helens were part of the county of Lancashire.
