Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Czech Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Czech speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Czech teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Czech teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Czech lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Czech teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Czech means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Czech in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Czech language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Czech training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Czech in Hull on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Czech languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Czech course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

The Czech language courses of SIMON & SIMON have been run in numerous locations. As we have a global network of language trainers your Czech language course can be arranged in major cities across Europe and further afield. Most of our clients arrange for their Czech lessons to be run in their offices so that there is less need for travel, but we can also run Czech lessons in your home. We also run residential full-time Czech language courses in a variety of locations which our office will be happy to inform you of.

Hull Czech Course Schedules

Our Czech language courses in Hull go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Czech can be arranged on request. Our Czech courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Czech courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Czech language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Czech language course we will assess your goals and level of Czech experience. Your desire to learn Czech may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Czech to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Czech in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Czech trainers experience and that your Czech language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Czech Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Czech examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Czech teachers in Hull who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Czech examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Hull

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Kingston upon Hull usually referred to as Hull, is a city and unitary authority area in the ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It stands on the River Hull at its junction with the Humber estuary, 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea. Hull has a resident population of 258,700 (2008 est.). The Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) population stands at 573,300. Renamed Kings town upon Hull by King Edward I in 1299, the town and city of Hull has served as market town, military supply port, trading hub, fishing and whaling centre, and industrial metropolis. Hull was an early theatre of battle in the English Civil Wars. Its 18th-century Member of Parliament, William Wilberforce, played a key role in the abolition of the slave trade in Britain. The city is unique in the UK in having had a municipally-owned telephone system from 1902, sporting cream, not red, telephone boxes. After suffering heavy damage during the Second World War, Hull weathered a period of post-industrial decline, during which the city gained unfavourable results on measures of social deprivation, education and policing. In recent years the city has embarked on an extensive programme of economic regeneration, reconstruction and urban renewal. The economic crisis since 2008 has caused some setbacks to these developments. Hull has been the base for several notable poets, including former University of Hull Librarian Philip Larkin, many of whose poems were set in the city.
