SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified native Czech speaking teachers average 15 years of experience. Professionals and private individuals from all over the UK have benefited from SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses, all of which are tailor-made to reflect each student's level of experience. We consistently receive outstanding feedback from our clients about our Czech tutors. Each student is sent a specific profile on the experience and background of their Czech tutor before they start their course of lessons.

If the only experience you have of studying a language is from your time in school, you may not know that there has been a revolution in the teaching of modern languages so that it is both more fun and more worthwhile. Your Czech teacher in Gloucestershire will be using the Communicative Approach, where your lessons will, with few exceptions, be conducted in Czech. You will see your progress from that very first lesson and will soon be confident enough to conduct business or talk socially in Czech.

We offer Czech courses as group sessions or on a 1:1 basis/ Most of our clients offer their employees 1:1 Czech training, however, if planned carefully, with participants numbering 6 or less who commit to meeting every week, group sessions can be good value for money. Those who learn Czech at Gloucestershire on a 1:1 basis will find that they progress more quickly, as the lessons can be specifically tailored for their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Czech language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Czech course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

SIMON & SIMON Czech language courses have been arranged for clients in various locations. We have a global network of trainers and wherever you are, we will be able to organise a Czech language course for you, not only in the UK but in almost any of the major cities in Europe and beyond. Most of our Czech courses are run at the offices of our clients so that you do not have to travel, but we are happy to arrange Czech training sessions for you in your home. Full-time Czech courses can be arranged in a residential setting for you. Our office has information on the locations we offer.

Gloucestershire Czech Course Schedules

We run our Czech language courses in Gloucestershire all through the year. Many of our students, if work commitments allow, will attend more than one session weekly, and the vast majority take part in at least one 90-minute lesson weekly. We also arrange weekend Czech courses on request. Our Czech programs commence from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Intensive 30 hour per week Czech language courses, held on clients’ premises or at residential centres in the UK or abroad, are also available on a 6 hours per day basis, Monday through Friday.

Whatever your personal level of experience and future goals, your Czech course will be customised for you. Before you start the course we will assess your level of Czech and discuss in detail what you would like to focus on. You may desire simply to gain everyday Czech skills from the level of a complete beginner, or you may have more experience in Czech and want to improve your ability to discuss banking, finance or marketing. You may want to develop improved pronunciation and comprehension skills or improve your Czech for use in negotiations and meetings. Whatever your goals and needs, our highly experienced Czech language trainers will tailor your Czech course so that your goals will be met quickly.

Czech Language Examination Courses

If you are taking a Czech examination, for business or other reasons, we are happy to help you with your preparations. We are very proud of the 95% pass rate of our students in language examinations. We believe this highlights the value of working with Czech teachers in Gloucestershire whose experience is above average. SIMON & SIMON can also register you for your Czech examination, administer the examination and issue you your results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Gloucestershire

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Gloucestershire is a county in South West England. The county comprises part of the Cotswold Hills, part of the flat fertile valley of the River Severn, and the entire Forest of Dean. The county town is the city of Gloucester, and other principal towns include Cheltenham, Cirencester, Stroud, and Tewkesbury. When considered as a ceremonial county, Gloucestershire borders the preserved county of Gwent in Wales (now Monmouthshire), and in England the ceremonial counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Bristol. Ceremonially, it includes the area covered by the South Gloucestershire unitary authority. According to a 2002 campaign by the charity Plantlife, the county flower of Gloucestershire is the Wild Daffodil. Gloucestershire is a historic county mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle in the 10th century, though the areas of Winchcombe and the Forest of Dean were not added until the late 11th century. Gloucestershire originally included the "small town" of Bristol. The "local" rural community moved to the port city, (as Bristol was to become) and Bristol's population growth accelerated during the industrial revolution. Bristol became part of the administrative County of Avon in 1974.
