Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Czech Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Czech teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency. Feedback from clients on our Czech tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Czech Lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Czech lessons in Coventry will be carried out almost completely in Czech. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Czech to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Czech language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Czech training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Czech in Coventry on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Czech Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Czech course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Czech language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Czech language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Czech language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. For a list of the locations of the full-time residential Czech language courses that we offer, contact our office.

Coventry Czech Course Schedules

Our Czech language courses in Coventry go on all year. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Czech can be arranged on request. Our Czech courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Czech courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Czech language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Czech language course we will assess your goals and level of Czech experience. Your desire to learn Czech may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Czech to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Czech in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Czech trainers experience and that your Czech language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Czech Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Czech examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Czech teachers in Coventry who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Czech examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Coventry

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the county of West Midlands in England. Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and the 11th largest in the United Kingdom. It is also the second largest city in the English Midlands, after Birmingham, with a population of 300,848, although both Leicester and Nottingham have larger urban areas. The population of Coventry has risen to 309,800 as of 2008. Coventry is situated 95 miles (153 km) northwest of London and 19 miles (30 km) east of Birmingham, and is further from the coast than any other city in Britain. Although harbouring a population of almost a third of a million inhabitants, Coventry is not amongst the English Core Cities Group due to its proximity to Birmingham. Coventry became an early 'twin city' when it formed a twinning relationship with the Russian city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) during World War II. The relationship developed through ordinary people in Coventry who wanted to show their support for the Soviet Red Army during the Battle of Stalingrad. The city is now twinned with Dresden and with 27 other cities around the world. Coventry Cathedral is one of the newer cathedrals in the world, having been built following the World War II bombing of the ancient cathedral by the Luftwaffe. Coventry motor companies have contributed significantly to the British motor industry, and it has two universities, the city centre-based Coventry University and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts.
