The Communicative Approach means that your Czech lessons in Buckinghamshire will be almost entirely through the medium of Czech. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Czech with confidence, in a range of social and business environments. Our Czech language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Czech training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful.
Those learning Czech in at Buckinghamshire on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses. Czech Course ManagementOne of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Czech language course.
On starting your Czech course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you. Buckinghamshire Czech Course SchedulesWe run Czech language courses in Buckinghamshire all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow.
Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Czech weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.
Intensive Czech language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week. Your Czech language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Czech language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in.
Students may be complete novices who need everyday Czech conversational skills or have more proficiency in Czech and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently.
Students may desire to bolster their Czech for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills.
No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Czech language trainers will work with you on a Czech language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals. Czech Language Examination CoursesCzech examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Czech teachers in Buckinghamshire with experience above the average.
SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Czech examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service. The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.
Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

SIMON & SIMON International Breaking the Language Barrier Back to top of Czech Courses Buckinghamshire Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian. Buckinghamshire archaically the County of Buckingham; abbreviated Bucks) is a ceremonial and non-metropolitan home county in South East England. The county town is Aylesbury, the largest town in the ceremonial county is Milton Keynes and largest town in the non-metropolitan county is High Wycombe.
The area under the control of Buckinghamshire County Council, or shire county, is divided into four districts―Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks and Wycombe. The Borough of Milton Keynes is a unitary authority and forms part of the county for various functions such as Lord Lieutenant but does not come under county council control. The ceremonial county, the area including Milton Keynes borough, borders Greater London (to the south east), Berkshire (to the south), Oxfordshire (to the west), Northamptonshire (to the north), Bedfordshire (to the north east) and Hertfordshire (to the east).
Sections of the county closer to London are part of the Metropolitan Green Belt, which prohibits development. It is the location of the nationally important Pinewood Studios and Dorney Lake, which will be holding the rowing events at the 2012 Summer Olympics. It is also well known for the new town of Milton Keynes, and the Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.
