Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Czech Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Czech speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Czech teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Czech teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Czech lessons start.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Czech lessons in Blackpool will be almost entirely through the medium of Czech. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Czech with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

The Czech courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Czech training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Czech courses at Blackpool are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Czech Course Management

One of our highly experienced, multilingual Account managers oversees each SIMON & SIMON Czech language course. On starting your Czech course you will receive various materials including a profile on your trainer, a Course Plan and course materials and a Progress Report on every 40 hours of your training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains weblinks to various language learning sources and a prize draw, will also be sent to you.

SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Czech language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Czech language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Czech language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Blackpool Czech Course Schedules

The Czech language courses in Blackpool that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Czech courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Czech language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Czech language course we will assess your level of Czech and speak to you about your aims so that your Czech language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Czech before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Czech when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Czech in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Czech language trainers will tailor your Czech course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Czech Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Czech examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Czech teachers in Blackpool. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Czech examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Czech Courses Blackpool

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Blackpool is a seaside town and unitary authority in Lancashire, England. Situated along the coast of the Irish Sea, it has a population of 142,900, making it the third-largest settlement in North West England behind Manchester and Liverpool. It lies 40 miles (64 km) north-west of the city of Manchester, and less than 30 miles (48 km) north of Liverpool City centre. Blackpool is the fourth most densely populated local authority district of England & Wales outside Greater London. Blackpool rose to prominence as a major centre of tourism during the 19th century, particularly for the inhabitants of northern mill towns. Blackpool is believed to get its name from a historic drainage channel (possibly Spen Dyke) that ran over a peat bog, discharging discoloured water into the Irish Sea, which formed a black pool (on the other side of the sea, "Dublin" (Dubh Linn) is derived from the Irish for "black pool"). Another explanation is that the local dialect for stream was "pul" or "poole", hence "Black poole".
