Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Czech Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Czech speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Czech teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Czech teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Czech lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Czech teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Czech means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Czech in a social or business setting will be no problem.

The Czech courses that we offer can be run as 1:1 or group sessions. While most of our clients use 1:1 Czech training for their employees, group sessions can be good value. Participants numbers should be kept to 6 or less, and they will need to commit to meeting every week. If you require faster progress, 1:1 Czech courses at Basildon are more suitable as the lessons and course can be tailored to the individual’s needs while focusing on their specific weaknesses and strengths.

Czech Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Czech course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON’s Czech language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Czech language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Czech language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Czech language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Basildon Czech Course Schedules

We run Czech language courses in Basildon all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Czech weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Czech language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Czech language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Czech language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Czech conversational skills or have more proficiency in Czech and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Czech for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Czech language trainers will work with you on a Czech language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Czech Language Examination Courses

Czech examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Czech teachers in Basildon with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Czech examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Breaking the Language Barrier

Back to top of Czech Courses Basildon

Czech is a West Slavic language with about 12 million native speakers; it is the majority language in the Czech Republic and spoken by Czechs worldwide. The language was known as Bohemian in English until the late 19th century. Czech is similar to and mutually intelligible with Slovak and, to a considerably lesser extent, to Polish and Sorbian.

Basildon is a town located in the Basildon District of the county of Essex, England. It lies 25.6 miles (41 km) east of central London and 11 miles (18 km) south of the county town of Chelmsford. Nearby towns include Billericay to the north, Wickford northeast, and South Benfleet to the east. It was designated as a new town after World War II in 1948 to accommodate the London population overspill, created from the conglomeration of four small villages, namely Pitsea, Laindon, Basildon and Vange (the new town took the name Basildon as it was the most central of the four villages). The local government district of Basildon, formed in 1974, encapsulates a larger area than the town itself; the two neighbouring towns of Billericay and Wickford, as well as rural villages and smaller settlements set among the surrounding countryside, fall within its borders.
