Both professionals and non-professionals alike have seen great benefits from a SIMON & SIMON Croatian Language Course. SIMON & SIMON’s team of qualified Croatian teachers is made up of native speakers who average 15 years of experience. These teachers will make sure that a course is tailored for your specific needs so that you will benefit regardless of your language proficiency. Feedback from clients on our Croatian tutors is consistently highly positive. Our students are sent a profile containing information on their specific teacher’s experience and background before the start of their Croatian Lessons.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Croatian lessons in Windsor will be carried out almost completely in Croatian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Croatian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Our Croatian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Croatian in at Windsor on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Croatian language course has a highly experienced, multi-lingual Account Manager who oversees it. When your Croatian course starts you will be sent a profile on your trainer, materials for your course and a Course Plan as well as a Progress Report for every 40 hours of training. Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter that you will also receive, contains a prize draw as well as weblinks to a number of learning resources.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Croatian language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Croatian language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Croatian language courses can be run in your home for your convenience, but many of our clients prefer to run them in their offices so as to minimise travel. Weekend Courses in Croatian can be arranged on request. Our Croatian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Croatian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Croatian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your goals and level of Croatian experience. Your desire to learn Croatian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Croatian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Croatian trainers experience and that your Croatian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Croatian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Croatian teachers in Windsor who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Croatian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Windsor

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Windsor is an affluent suburban town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, England. It is widely known as the site of Windsor Castle. The town is situated 21 miles (34 km) west of Charing Cross. It is immediately south of the River Thames, which forms its boundary with Eton. Windsor and the surrounding areas contain some of the most expensive and desirable housing in the UK. The village of Old Windsor, just over two miles to the south, predates what is now called Windsor by around 300 years; in the past Windsor was formally referred to as New Windsor to distinguish the two. The early history of the site is unknown, although the site was almost certainly settled many years before the medieval castle was built. Histories of the town note that the combination of the navigable river and the strategically-placed hill point to the likelihood of continuous human settlement from early times. Evidence includes archaeological finds from Windsor, such as palaeolithic hand-axes, neolithic flint picks, Bronze Age swords and an Iron Age brooch. Although Roman remains are few, there is ample evidence of Anglo Saxon settlement in the area.
