Warwickshire Croatian Course Schedules

The Croatian language courses in Warwickshire that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Croatian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Croatian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your level of Croatian and speak to you about your aims so that your Croatian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Croatian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Croatian when discussing business. Croatian Language Examination Courses

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Warwickshire is a landlocked non-metropolitan county in the West Midlands region of England. The county town is Warwick, although the largest town is Nuneaton in the far north of the county. The shape of the administrative area Warwickshire differs considerably from that of the historic county. Commonly used abbreviations for the county are Warks or Warwicks. Warwickshire is perhaps best known for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare from Stratford-upon-Avon. Even today, road signs at the county boundary describe Warwickshire as "Shakespeare's County". Warwickshire is bounded to the north-west by the West Midlands metropolitan county and Staffordshire, by Leicestershire to the north-east, Northamptonshire to the east, Worcestershire to the west, Oxfordshire to the south and Gloucestershire to the south-west. The northern tip of the county is only 5 km (3 miles) from the Derbyshire border. An average-sized English county covering an area of almost 2,000 km2, it runs some 96 km (60 mi) north to south.
