Croatian Courses for Business in Sussex

Please click a title below for further information:

Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian courses, taught by a team of qualified native Croatian speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Croatian tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Croatian course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Croatian teacher’s experience and background.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Croatian lessons in Sussex will be carried out almost completely in Croatian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Croatian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Croatian courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Croatian courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Croatian in Sussex on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Croatian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Croatian language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Croatian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Croatian language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Croatian language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Croatian lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Croatian lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Croatian language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Sussex Croatian Course Schedules

Our Croatian language courses in Sussex run throughout the year. The majority of our students attend at least one 90-minute session per week and many students will try to do more than one session depending on work commitments. Our Croatian teachers are available Monday - Friday from 8am - 8pm, and Weekend Courses can also be arranged on request. Our intensive Croatian language courses run for 30 hours per week, (6 hours per day Monday - Friday), and take place on our clients' premises or at a residential centre here in the UK or abroad.

The content of your Croatian language course will reflect your level and your particular objectives. We will assess your Croatian language level before your course, and discuss with you in detail the subject areas you wish to focus on. You may be a complete beginner looking for day-to-day Croatian survival language skills, or a more proficient Croatian speaker needing to improve your fluency when discussing areas such as law, banking, finance, insurance, sales, travel, marketing, and administration. You may want to focus on improving your Croatian for meetings, discussions and negotiations, or to concentrate on improving your listening comprehension, pronunciation and telephone skills. Whatever your needs, working with one of our highly experienced Croatian language trainers you can be confident that the content of your Croatian language course will be tailored just for you and that you will soon be meeting your objectives.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

We can also help prepare you for Croatian examinations of a business or general nature. We are proud to say our students have a 95% pass rate in language examinations, and their success further underlines the value we place on working with Croatian teachers in Sussex with above average experience. As part of our service, SIMON & SIMON will also organise the registration and administration of Croatian examinations and the issuing of result certificates.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Sussex

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Sussex is an historic county in South East England corresponding roughly in area to the ancient Kingdom of Sussex. It is bounded on the north by Surrey, east by Kent, south by the English Channel, and west by Hampshire, and is divided for local government into West Sussex and East Sussex and the city of Brighton and Hove. The city of Brighton & Hove was created a unitary authority in 1997; and was granted City status in 2000. Until then Chichester had been Sussex's only city. The divisions of West Sussex and East Sussex were first established in 1189, and had obtained separate administrations (Quarter Sessions) by the 16th century. This situation was recognised by the County of Sussex Act 1865. Under the Local Government Act 1888 the two divisions became two administrative counties (along with three county boroughs: Brighton, Hastings and, from 1911, Eastbourne). The appellation Sussex remained in use as a ceremonial county until 1974, when the Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex was replaced with one each for East and West Sussex. The whole of Sussex has had a single police force since 1968.
