Many professionals in companies across the UK, as well as private individuals, have benefited from an Croatian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. We have a terrific team of qualified native-speaker Croatian teachers, and with an average of 15 years' experience they will ensure you benefit from a course designed specifically around your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner with more specialised requirements. We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Croatian tutors from our clients, and we send our students a profile on their Croatian tutor prior to their Croatian lessons commencing, with information on the tutor's background and experience.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Croatian lessons in Suffolk will be carried out almost completely in Croatian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Croatian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Croatian courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Croatian courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Croatian in Suffolk on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Croatian Course Management

SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian language courses all have a specific Account Manager who oversee the course. Each of these managers is highly experienced and multi-lingual. At the start of your Croatian course, you will receive a profile on your trainer, course materials and a Course Plan. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will send you our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, which contains a wonderful prize draw as well as weblinks to valuable language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Croatian language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Croatian language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Croatian lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Croatian lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Croatian language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Suffolk Croatian Course Schedules

The Croatian language courses in Suffolk that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Croatian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Croatian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your level of Croatian and speak to you about your aims so that your Croatian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Croatian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Croatian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Croatian language trainers will tailor your Croatian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Croatian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Croatian teachers in Suffolk. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Croatian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Suffolk

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Suffolk is a non-metropolitan county of historic origin in East Anglia, England. It has borders with Norfolk to the north, Cambridgeshire to the west and Essex to the south. The North Sea lies to the east. The county town is Ipswich; other important towns include Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe, one of the largest container ports in Europe. The county is low-lying with few hills, and is largely wetland habitat and arable land with the wetlands of The Broads in the North. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Suffolk was part of the kingdom of East Anglia which was settled by the Angles in the 5th century AD. Suffolk was divided into separate Quarter Sessions divisions. These were originally four in number, reduced to two in 1860, the eastern division being administered from Ipswich and the western from Bury St Edmunds. The two divisions were made separate administrative counties as East Suffolk and West Suffolk under the Local Government Act 1888, with Ipswich becoming a county borough. A few Essex parishes were also added to Suffolk: Ballingdon-with-Brundon, and parts of Haverhill and Kedington.
