Croatian Courses for Business in Nottingham

Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Croatian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Croatian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Croatian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Croatian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Croatian lessons start.

Modern language teaching is now approached much differently to how you might remember learning languages in school. The experience is now much more fun and rewarding. The Communicative Approach, where your Croatian teacher will conduct your lessons almost entirely in Croatian means that progress is made from your very first lesson. Soon, you will have such confidence that using Croatian in a social or business setting will be no problem.

Our Croatian language courses are available on both a 1:1 and group basis, but the majority of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training to their employees. However, with careful planning, group training can offer great value for money, provided there is a real commitment from the participants to get together at the same time every week. We strongly recommend you keep group numbers to 6 or less for these types of courses to be successful. Those learning Croatian in at Nottingham on a 1:1 basis will naturally make much faster progress, as the course will be designed around their individual needs and focus on their particular strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

Every SIMON & SIMON Croatian language course is overseen by one of our highly experienced Account Managers, all of whom are multi-lingual. At the start of your Croatian language course we will send you a profile on your trainer, followed by a Course Plan and relevant course materials, and then a Progress Report after every 40 hours of training. You will also receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, featuring a superb prize draw and invaluable weblinks to language learning sources.

SIMON & SIMON has arranged Croatian language courses for clients in numerous locations, and with our global network of language trainers we can organise a Croatian language course for you wherever you are - in almost any major city in the UK, Europe and beyond. The vast majority of our Croatian lessons take place at our clients' offices, removing the need for you to travel, but Croatian lessons can take place in your home if that is more convenient. We can also arrange full-time residential Croatian language courses for you - just contact our office for information on available destinations.

Nottingham Croatian Course Schedules

We run Croatian language courses in Nottingham all year. Most of our students participate in no less than one 90-minute lesson per week, but many students will participate in more if work commitments allow. Weekend Courses can be facilitated, and our Croatian weekday courses run from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Croatian language courses are also available and can be run at the client’s premises or a residential centre in the UK or overseas. These courses take place over 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Your Croatian language course’s content will be tailored to your experience and goals. Prior to the course, we will assess your Croatian language level and speak to you comprehensively about the areas and subjects you are interested in. Students may be complete novices who need everyday Croatian conversational skills or have more proficiency in Croatian and wish to be able to discuss various business topics such as banking or finance more fluently. Students may desire to bolster their Croatian for negotiations and meetings or focus on gaining better listening, pronunciation and comprehension skills. No matter what your needs, you can be confident that our very experienced Croatian language trainers will work with you on a Croatian language course that is tailored for you so that you quickly meet your goals.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

Croatian examination preparation for business or other examinations can also be assisted with. Our students boast a 95% rate of passing such examinations, proving the value of our policy of Croatian teachers in Nottingham with experience above the average. SIMON & SIMON also organises registration and administration of Croatian examinations as well as issuing results certificates as a part of our service.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Nottingham

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Nottingham is a city and unitary authority area in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. It is located in the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire, and is one of eight members of the English Core Cities Group. Whilst the City of Nottingham has a historically tightly drawn boundary which accounts for its relatively small population of 288,700, the wider Nottingham Urban Area has a population of 667,000 and is the seventh-largest urban area in the United Kingdom, ranking between those of Liverpool and Sheffield. Eurostat's Larger Urban Zone listed the areas population at 825,600 as of 2004. Nottingham is famed for its links with the Robin Hood legend and, during the Industrial Revolution, obtained worldwide recognition for its lace-making and bicycle industries. It was granted its city charter as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria in 1897 and has since been officially titled the City of Nottingham. In Anglo-Saxon times, around 600 AD the site formed part of the Kingdom of Mercia and was known in the Brythonic language as Tigguo Cobauc, meaning Place of Caves. In Welsh it is known poetically as Y Ty Ogofog, "The Cavey Dwelling". When it fell under the rule of a Saxon chieftain named Snot it became known as "Snotingaham"; the homestead of Snot's people (Inga = the people of; Ham = homestead). Snot brought together his people in an area now known as the Lace Market.
