Private individuals and professionals in companies all over the UK have profited from undertaking a Croatian Language Course with SIMON & SIMON. Averaging 15 years of experience, our native Croatian speaking qualified teachers construct your course so that your individual requirements are met, no matter what your level of experience. Our Croatian teachers receive excellent feedback from our clients. A profile, containing information about the Croatian teacher’s background and experience, is sent to each student before the Croatian lessons start.

Maybe your only knowledge of studying languages is what you remember from school. Modern language teaching has recently changed to be much more entertaining and rewarding. Your Croatian lessons in Herefordshire will be carried out almost completely in Croatian. This is the Communicative Approach and by this method you will notice progress from the initial lesson. You will soon feel confident and able to use Croatian to communicate in various business and social situations.

Both 1:1 and group formats are available for our Croatian language courses. While most of our clients offer 1:1 Croatian training, the group format can offer great value for money. If you want groups to be successful, the members must commit to the weekly meetings and we recommend keeping the number of participants below 7. Progress is faster for those who learn Croatian in Herefordshire on a 1:1 basis as the lessons are individually tailored for their particular needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Croatian Course Management

A multi-lingual Account Manager with extensive experience is responsible for each SIMON & SIMON Croatian language course. A profile on your trainer, Course Plan and course materials will be sent to you when you start your Croatian course. After every 40 hours of training you will receive a Progress Report. We will also send you Breaking the Language Barrier, our quarterly newsletter, which contains a wonderful prize draw and valuable language learning resource weblinks.

We have a global network of language trainers so our Croatian language courses can be arranged for almost any major European city, or even further abroad. SIMON & SIMON have run Croatian language courses for clients in many diverse locations. Some of our students attend more than one 90-minute weekly session if work circumstances allow, and most will attend at least one per week. Weekend Courses in Croatian can be arranged on request. Our Croatian courses are available 12 hours a day, from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. 30 hour per week intensive Croatian courses can be held on clients’ premises or in residential centres in the UK or abroad. These courses take 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

We will tailor your Croatian language course for your specific aims and level of knowledge. Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your goals and level of Croatian experience. Your desire to learn Croatian may be simply to develop basic skills, or you may have some level of proficiency and wish to increase your ability to use Croatian to discuss business. You may want to develop your language skills so that you can use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or improve your pronunciation and telephone skills. No matter what goals you have, you can be confident of our Croatian trainers experience and that your Croatian language course is tailored to your needs and your goals will be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

Our students’ pass rate for Croatian examinations is at 95%, and we are happy to help with the preparations for any such examination. Our high pass rate shows the value of working with Croatian teachers in Herefordshire who have a higher level of experience than average. SIMON & SIMON also arrange registration for Croatian examinations as well as administering the examination and issuing the results.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Herefordshire is a historic and ceremonial county in the West Midlands region of England. It also forms a unitary district known as the County of Herefordshire. It borders the English ceremonial counties of Shropshire to the north, Worcestershire to the east, Gloucestershire to the south-east, and the Welsh preserved counties of Gwent to the south-west and Powys to the west. Hereford is a cathedral city and is the county town; with a population of approximately 55,700 inhabitants it is also the largest settlement. The county is one of the most rural and sparsely populated in England, with a population density of 82/km² (212/sq mi). The land use is predominantly agricultural and the county is well known for its fruit and cider production, and the Hereford cattle breed. Herefordshire is one of the 39 historic counties of England. In 1974 it was merged with neighbouring Worcestershire to form the relatively short-lived Hereford and Worcester administrative county. Within this, Herefordshire was covered by the local government districts of South Herefordshire, Hereford, and part of Malvern Hills and Leominster districts. The current ceremonial county and unitary district have broadly the same borders as the pre-1974 historic county.
