Croatian Courses for Business in Coventry

Please click a title below for further information:

Designed and customised for the individual student’s needs, SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian courses, taught by a team of qualified native Croatian speakers who average 15 years of experience, have already benefited professionals and non-professionals across the UK. Courses cater for all levels of experience. The feedback on our Croatian tutors that we receive from our clients is consistently excellent. Prior to the start of your Croatian course, you will be sent a profile on your specific Croatian teacher’s experience and background.

The way that modern languages are taught has gone through a revolution in the past few years. If you have only learned languages at school you will find that the experience now is vastly more fun and worthwhile. The Communicative Approach means that your Croatian lessons in Coventry will be almost entirely through the medium of Croatian. You will feel that you are making real progress, even in the first lesson, and will soon communicate in Croatian with confidence, in a range of social and business environments.

Croatian courses from us can be run for groups or individuals. While many of our clients offer their employees Croatian courses on a 1:1 basis, group sessions can be excellent value. Group sessions do require planning and commitment from the participants and we recommend that no more than 6 people participate in a group. As 1:1 lessons can be tailored to an individual’s needs, strengths and weaknesses, learning Croatian in Coventry on a 1:1 basis will give quicker progress.

Croatian Course Management

Each of SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian languages courses is the responsibility of a multi-lingual, very experienced Account Manager. When you start your Croatian course, you will receive your trainer’s profile. Thereafter we will send you a Course Plan, materials for the course and, after each 40 hours of training, a Progress Report. Our quarterly newsletter, Breaking the Language Barrier, will also reach you, and contains a prize draw as well as the weblinks of language learning resources.

SIMON & SIMON’s Croatian language courses have been run for clients in many different locations. With a global network of language trainers a Croatian language course can be held in almost any major city throughout Europe and elsewhere. We can arrange Croatian language courses in your home or, as many of our clients prefer, in your offices to remove the need for you to travel. Full-time residential Croatian language courses are also an option. For a list of locations, please contact our office.

Coventry Croatian Course Schedules

The Croatian language courses in Coventry that we run go on through the year. Each week, most of our students will attend at least one of our 90-minute lessons, but many will do more. We can easily arrange Weekend Courses for you. Croatian courses run from Monday to Friday, any time from 8am to 8pm. Intensive Croatian language courses can be arranged in residential centres abroad or in the UK, or on clients’ premises for 30 hours per week, 6 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Before you start your Croatian language course we will assess your level of Croatian and speak to you about your aims so that your Croatian language course can be customised for you. You may have never been exposed to Croatian before and wish to develop basic survival skills, or you may have some experience and wish to be able to speak more fluently in Croatian when discussing business. You may want to further your ability to use Croatian in negotiations and meetings or better your comprehension and pronunciation abilities. Whatever goals you may have, our experienced Croatian language trainers will tailor your Croatian course so that your goals can be quickly met.

Croatian Language Examination Courses

We are happy to help in your preparation for any Croatian examinations. Our students have a 95% pass rate and we think that their success shows the value of our policy of working with above-average experienced Croatian teachers in Coventry. Issuing of results certificates, registration for Croatian examinations and administration of such exams is also provided by SIMON & SIMON.

The table below is based on recognised language levels used by various academic institutions accross the European Union. A highly motivated student attending weekly sessions with their language trainer can expect to move from one level to another after 50 hours providing they also commit to a similar number of hours of self-study.

Of course, some people find learning languages easier than others, and some students will have more opportunities to practise the language in the course of their work and leisure, so these factors also need to be considered when trying to assess how long it will take to move from one level to another.

Back to top of Croatian Courses Coventry

Croatian is the collective name for the standard language and dialects spoken by Croats, principally in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serbian province of Vojvodina and other neighbouring countries. They are varieties of the Serbo-Croatian language, along with Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin. Standard and literary Croatian is based on the central dialect, Shtokavian, more specifically on Eastern Herzegovinian, which is also the basis of standard Serbian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the county of West Midlands in England. Coventry is the 9th largest city in England and the 11th largest in the United Kingdom. It is also the second largest city in the English Midlands, after Birmingham, with a population of 300,848, although both Leicester and Nottingham have larger urban areas. The population of Coventry has risen to 309,800 as of 2008. Coventry is situated 95 miles (153 km) northwest of London and 19 miles (30 km) east of Birmingham, and is further from the coast than any other city in Britain. Although harbouring a population of almost a third of a million inhabitants, Coventry is not amongst the English Core Cities Group due to its proximity to Birmingham. Coventry became an early 'twin city' when it formed a twinning relationship with the Russian city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd) during World War II. The relationship developed through ordinary people in Coventry who wanted to show their support for the Soviet Red Army during the Battle of Stalingrad. The city is now twinned with Dresden and with 27 other cities around the world. Coventry Cathedral is one of the newer cathedrals in the world, having been built following the World War II bombing of the ancient cathedral by the Luftwaffe. Coventry motor companies have contributed significantly to the British motor industry, and it has two universities, the city centre-based Coventry University and the University of Warwick on the southern outskirts.
